Project Motor Racing 2.0.0.6 update adds setup options, slipstream rework, and league-facing fixes
Update 2.0.0.6 adds third spring and brake duct setup options on supported cars, reworks slipstreaming, improves AI, replay handling, HUD/UI, audio, online points calculation, and adds support plus Career events for the GT Icons Pack.
We’ve got a broad patch for Project Motor Racing in the official 2.0.0.6 update notes. This one touches car setup and handling, AI, replay systems, HUD/UI, online scoring, and DLC support for the GT Icons Pack.
What changed

- Added third spring and brake duct adjustments for cars that support them, including LMDh.
- Reworked slipstream/drafting behaviour for more consistent drafting and overtaking.
- Fixed the Traction Control assist issue on the Audi 90 IMSA GTO.
- Reduced default Force Feedback for LMDh and raised minimum rack stiffness for that class.
AI opponents
- AI now returns to the pits after race end correctly.
- Improved AI race-start reactions.
- Improved AI behaviour and pace at Mount Panorama and Derby.
- Improved AI behaviour and pace for Group C, GT1, and MX-5 Cup.
Gameplay, replay, and online
- Added save/load replay functionality on consoles.
- Fixed a rare grid position issue when restarting sessions.
- Improved replay storage and fixed jitter in some replay cameras.
- Improved race engineer detection for blue flags and lapped traffic.
- Adjusted online points calculations to reduce excessive penalties when few drivers finish after others leave.
HUD, UI, and audio
- Redesigned HUD race flags and low fuel warning icon.
- Added a mappable toggle HUD function.
- Fixed incorrect tyre temperature and fuel display issues in vehicle settings.
- Reworked suspension audio across GT3, GT4, GTE, JP1, LMDh, and MX-5 Cup.
Tracks, visuals, VR, and content
- Added a new Spring season presentation and reduced LOD popping.
- Track fixes include Brianza, Spa-Francorchamps, and a later pit limiter trigger at Sebring pit entry.
- Added VR alpha-specific settings on PC.
- Added support and Career Mode events for the GT Icons Pack.
For league ops, we should retest draft-dependent combos, update any LMDh setup baselines, and confirm our scoring expectations with the revised online points behaviour.

- Update 2.0.0.6 for Project Motor Racing brings a new round of handling, setup, AI opponents, replay system, audio, UI, and content improvements to Project Motor Racing, alongside support for the upcoming GT Icons Pack, available from tomorrow, 23 June. This update also introduces two important setup additions for relevant cars: third spring and brake duct adjustments. Together with the reworked slipstream model and continued vehicle, AI, and track improvements, Update 2.0.0.6 continues the broader push to refine the driving experience across both modern and classic machinery in Project Motor Racing.
GT Icons Pack
The GT Icons Pack is available from tomorrow, 23 June, bringing nine cars that capture a defining era of sports-car racing, when raw power, rudimentary aerodynamics, mechanical grip, and driver commitment shaped every grid. The pack showcases three distinct classes from the late ’60s and early 1970s, each representing a different philosophy of speed and the unique machines that defined the period. New Career Mode events for the GT Icons Pack have also been added with this update.
Third Spring and Brake Ducts
New setup elements are now available in the vehicle settings menu for cars that support them, including third spring and brake duct adjustments. High-downforce cars, such as LMDh machinery, often require stiff springs to maintain aerodynamic balance and avoid scraping. The implementation of third spring setup options allows drivers to separate mechanical grip from aerodynamic platform control, using the normal springs to tune grip while using the third spring to better control heave and maintain aero stability. Brake duct adjustment has also been added (currently only on LMDh). Because brake temperature now influences tyre internal air temperature, brake cooling becomes an important tuning tool. Adjusting brake ducts allows players to fine-tune brake efficiency, tyre air temperature, and tyre pressure behaviour across a run.
Slipstream Rework
Drafting and slipstreaming has been reworked to deliver closer, more competitive racing in Multiplayer resulting in more consistent drafting behaviour, and improved balance, creating better overtaking opportunities and tighter battles to get that photo finish over the line.
