Race Control

Race Control, Built for Race Day

One operator screen for the whole session — flags, incidents, penalties, messages, and the live driver grid. Everything you do is timestamped and pushed to drivers, broadcasters, and stewards in real time.

Racey Race Control panel during a live session: green-flag status on lap 14 of 25, a 17-car driver grid with per-driver status, an incident queue with one investigation open, and race-control messages.

Session State Machine

Move the session through formation lap, green, yellow, safety car, VSC, red flag, suspended, and finished. Allowed transitions are enforced — no accidental "go green" from a red flag without a restart.

Incident Queue

File incidents the moment you see them — driver, lap, location, type, severity. Each one carries through to stewarding with the originating Race Control context already attached.

In-Session Penalties

Issue drive-throughs, stop-and-gos, time penalties, and grid drops mid-session. Penalty points roll up to the championship ledger automatically; nothing gets lost between race day and standings.

Race Control Messages

Broadcast to every driver, message a single competitor, or post a session-wide ruling note. Every message is timestamped, persisted, and auditable after the race.

Live Driver Grid

See every entry, their status, current stint, and any active flags or penalties on one screen. Updates push in real time — operator, drivers, broadcasters, and stewards all see the same state at the same time.

Event Log + Replay

Every flag deployed, penalty issued, message sent, and state transition is written to an immutable event log. Run an audit after the race; resolve the protest with the actual sequence of events, not someone’s memory of it.

Race Control is included with the Pro plan.

FAQ

League admin questions, answered

What is iRacing league management software?
It is software for running your own iRacing league end to end — driver registration, championship scoring, standings, scheduling, stewarding, and results publishing — instead of stitching together spreadsheets, Discord, and Google Forms. Racey is a purpose-built league platform: you import iRacing results, it scores them with your point system, and it keeps standings, driver profiles, and announcements in sync automatically.
How much does Racey cost for league admins?
Racey has a Free plan for getting started, Pro at $4.99/month ($49.90/year), and a custom Enterprise plan. There is no trial — the Free plan is how you try it. Drivers always race for free; you only pay for the admin features you use, like advanced scoring, blind steward review, broadcast overlays, and entry-fee collection.
Does Racey work with iRacing?
Yes. Racey is built around iRacing: import iRacing CSV/JSON result exports and they are matched to drivers by Customer ID and scored automatically. iRacing OAuth is paused upstream, so driver matching uses manual Customer IDs for now. You can also import results from other sims (ACC, rFactor 2, AMS2, and more) via CSV.
Can I charge entry fees for my league?
Yes — Pro leagues can collect entry fees directly through Stripe with zero platform commission. You keep the full entry fee minus standard Stripe processing fees; Racey does not take a cut. This is different from marketplaces that collect entry fees themselves and deduct a commission before paying hosts out.
How is Racey different from a Discord results bot?
A results bot reads a spreadsheet and posts to one channel. Racey owns the full results lifecycle — import, driver matching, scoring, standings, stewarding, and registration — and Discord publishing is just one output of that connected system. Standings, results, and schedules post and update automatically, and members can query them with slash commands, without you running a separate bot.
Do my drivers have to pay to join my league?
No. Racey is free for drivers, always — they create an account, join your league, track their stats, and file protests at no cost. Only the league admin pays, and only for Pro/Enterprise features. (Entry fees, if you choose to charge them, are set and collected by you.)
How do I move my league from a spreadsheet to Racey?
Set up your league and seasons in Racey, then import your existing results via CSV — the same iRacing exports you already download. Racey scores them with your configured point system and builds standings and driver profiles automatically, so you can retire the spreadsheet without losing history. See the guide to running an iRacing league for a full walkthrough.
