Project Motor Racing 1.5.0.5 update
Patch 1.5.0.5 focuses on visuals and performance, radar and penalties, AI behaviour, multiplayer stability, and broad fixes across vehicles and tracks.
We’ve logged Project Motor Racing’s 1.5.0.5 patch from the official update notes. This release centers on cleanup, consistency, and edge-case fixes across display settings, race awareness, penalties, AI, audio, multiplayer, and content.
What changed
Graphics, performance & display
- VSync handling was simplified and fixed.
- The frame-rate limiter is now always available, its maximum was raised to 180 FPS, and the “Off” option was removed.
- Double and triple buffering options were removed.
- AMD FFX SDK 2.0 support was added for upscaling and performance compatibility.
Radar & race awareness
- The radar system was polished and optimized, with smoother rotation, more accurate proximity warnings, and corrected vehicle-length alignment.
- Fixes target yellow flags and backmarker voice-overs triggering from inactive online cars, plus a radar error after pausing and restarting.
- Overall radar stability and online accuracy were improved.
Penalties & track limits
- Penalty detection, calculations, and messaging were refined.
- Off-track penalties now require all four wheels to be on a non-drivable surface.
- New feedback messages include “Under Investigation” and “No Further Action.”
- “Under Investigation” no longer appears on lap one of Practice or Qualifying and now clears correctly on pit entry.
- Distance-gained penalty scaling was clamped, AI penalty section assignment was fixed, AI distance estimates were adjusted, and some pit-lane exploit cases were closed.
AI, audio, multiplayer & game flow
- AI collision behavior was improved; LMDh AI had reduced sliding and brake locking, improved tire grip behavior, and fixes for brake/tire heat spikes.
- Collision audio was improved, with tweaks to turbo/backfire attenuation and added low-pass filtering for scrape audio.
- Multiplayer/profile crash fixes were added, alongside a speculative fix for broken multiplayer replay loading.
- Career length is no longer hardcoded, default session time changed to 10:00 AM with light rubbering, and French tire-compound localization was updated.
Vehicles, tracks, controls & general fixes
- The patch includes numerous GT and Group C vehicle fixes, track and environment refinements, pit-limiter rebinding fixes, controller consistency improvements, and broader crash/stability/visual polish updates.
We should brief stewards on the revised off-track rule and penalty messages, then retest race-control procedures, pit behavior, and replay workflows before the next official session.
