Automobilista 2 1.6.9.91 update: MP rules fix, GT car access change, and wet-tire/AI tweaks
AMS2 1.6.9.91 is a small follow-up update with multiplayer event-setup fixes, vehicle model and cockpit corrections, DLC access enforcement for the latest 2004/2005 GT cars, and physics/AI changes focused on wet conditions, tires, and selected GT/LMP classes.
We’ve logged Automobilista 2 v1.6.9.91 as a small follow-up patch to the latest release, focused on fixes and incremental improvements. The official notes are in the latest AMS2 update post.
What changed
Fixes
- Fixed erroneous qualifying rules being displayed in event setup when creating a multiplayer lobby from the game client.
- Updated damage models and adjusted collisions for the Panoz Esperante GTLM, Lister Storm GTM, Gillet Vertigo Streiff, and TVR Tuscan T400R.
- Spyker C8 Spyder GT2-R: adjusted driver animations, cockpit camera POV, and fixed a flickering windscreen banner.
- Gillet Vertigo Streiff: updated display shift lights.
- Saleen S7R GT1: added RPM LEDs and rear wing badges, corrected steering wheel pivot axis, and fixed right-hand mirror mapping.
Cars
- The latest 2004/2005 GT cars released with v1.6.9.9 in Historical Endurance Pack Pt2 are now restricted to owners of that DLC.
- The Milano 55GT remains free base-game content.
Physics
- Added a default intermediate tire option for LMP and GT 2005 classes.
- Slightly reduced cold-tire effects for GT1, GT1 2005, GT2 2005, GTR 2004, and LMP1/2 2005.
- Made minor wet-tire adjustments for GT and prototype classes.
- Spyker C8 GT2-R: slightly reduced center of gravity height and made minor default differential setup changes.
- Gillet Vertigo: corrected engine rev band to 7200 RPM, slightly reduced center of gravity height, and slightly increased baseline rear-wing downforce.
- McLaren MP4/12: fixed a physics glitch with the HD variant.
- Added AI wet lines for Road Atlanta, Road Atlanta 2005, Le Mans, Le Mans 2005, and Le Mans Bugatti.
- Adjusted AI pit thresholds for fuel and tire decisions, plus GT-class overtaking/lateral behavior and wet-weather throttle application for traction-control-equipped formulas, GTs, and prototypes.
- Gillet Vertigo Streiff received an AI calibration pass.
- Milano GT55: adjusted internal engine sound volume.
For league ops, we should verify lobby qualifying settings, update entry requirements for the 2004/2005 GT field, and run a quick wet-session validation for tire, AI, and pit behavior.
