We’ve reviewed the official 0.4.1 patch notes for Assetto Corsa EVO. This patch is mainly about stability, stutter-related optimizations, session consistency, and a spread of car, track, and UI fixes.

What changed

Features

  • Increased the UI engine texture cache count to address a potential source of stuttering.
  • Added a potential optimization for stuttering caused by UI items.
  • Replay UI no longer shows a redundant index when cycling camera submodes.
  • Server list now includes filters for gamemode types.
  • Servers using the "practice" gamemode are now displayed as "trackday."
  • Eligible-car selection now matches the current car if no stored car is selected.

Fixes

  • Added a potential fix for heavy stutter when an input device reconnects.
  • Season definition penalties are now consistent between Quick Race and Race Weekend race sessions.
  • Dynamic damping setting changes in controls now apply without requiring a restart.
  • Fixed a game crash when launching R3 Academy events.
  • Fixed a race server crash.
  • Added passenger camera views to all F6 onboard TV cameras.
  • Fixed the Audi RS 3 rear door animation being playable while driving.
  • Nürburgring received minor visual fixes.
  • Fixed the Porsche 718 GT4 RS lights script.
  • Caterham Academy received setup-limit and shift RPM LED tweaks.
  • Toyota Supra engine visuals are now exposed for both variants.
  • Mini exhaust backfire position was tuned as a partial fix.
  • AI cars now react better to lower-pace opponents.
  • BMW M3 E46 CSL audio was improved, with additional dash scripting updates.
  • Spectator sound zone volume was tweaked.

Tracks

  • Added line thickness to the full-map widget for all Nordschleife layouts.

Physics

  • Mazda MX5 Cup wet setup now specifies the wet tyre.
  • Ferrari SF-25 received aero updates, setup-limit changes, and a fix for wing setting adjustments not applying correctly.

For our league ops, we should validate server stability after the server-crash fix, recheck penalties and session presets, and update any event notes that depend on wet setups, server browser behavior, or Ferrari SF-25 setup baselines.
