RaceRoom patch fixes multiplayer, custom livery, controller, graphics, and HUD crashes
RaceRoom’s 5 August 2026 patch updates the client to 0.9.8.06 (BuildID 24573583) and focuses on stability fixes across multiplayer loading, custom liveries, Simucube wheel bases, graphics startup, and HUD behavior.
RaceRoom has published a small patch focused on stability and HUD behavior. The update is listed as a 17 MB download, bringing the client to version 0.9.8.06 with BuildID 24573583, per the official patch notes.
What changed
Multiplayer
- Fixed a crash when loading into a race.
Custom liveries
- Fixed a crash that could happen when a driver left the session while their livery was still downloading.
Controllers
- Fixed a crash on the second drive attempt after a failed write to a Simucube wheel base.
- A Simucube wheel base that loses its connection now retries instead of staying unavailable for the rest of the session.
Graphics
- Fixed a startup crash when the shadow depth texture fails to be created.
HUD
- Fixed a crash in the HUD compositor draw order.
- The new HUD now stays dormant in broadcast spectator mode.
- WebHUD pages served from the web can reach localhost again, restoring telemetry links such as SealHUD with CrewChief.
For league ops, we should make sure all drivers are on 0.9.8.06, then re-check join/load reliability, Simucube recovery, spectator broadcasts, and any localhost-based telemetry HUD links we use.
