cars

We’ve got a substantial Project Motor Racing update to track with Straight4 Studios’ Update 2.0 overview. The studio says this release was shaped by community feedback, internal testing, and iteration, and that it sets a new baseline for the sim going forward.

What changed

Cars

  • Refined driving physics.
  • A new tyre model has been introduced across multiple car classes.

Online

  • An anti-cheat system has been added for online modes.

Career / progression

  • Career Mode has been reworked.

UI / HUD

  • The user interface has been made clearer and faster.
  • A new HUD tool, the ECU Widget, has been added.

Graphics / performance

  • Visuals and performance have been improved.

Overall scope

  • The studio says Update 2.0 touches almost every layer of the sim, including visuals, driving feel, online systems, and career progression.

For league ops, we should run a post-patch server test, confirm anti-cheat compatibility, and update our driver notes for the physics, tyre, and HUD changes before racing resumes.
