iRacing 2025 Season 4 Patch 2 update
Patch 2 adds Dallara IL-15 AI support, fixes a practice-to-race server crash, updates graphics/UI behavior, and applies a broad set of car and track fixes including GTP hybrid/fuel-economy adjustments and multiple setup/control corrections.
We’ve gone through the official patch notes for iRacing 2025 Season 4 Patch 2. This is a maintenance patch for the Season 4 release, with sim-wide fixes plus a long list of car-specific corrections.
What changed
Sim
- AI Racing: Dallara IL-15 is now enabled for AI racing.
- Audio: added the latest Italian spotter pack.
- Graphics/VR: fixed AMD FSR viewport calculation for non-VR, centered the new FSR UI and corrected mouse interaction, and fixed some Pimax eye-tracking issues. iRacing notes AMD FSR in VR is still not functioning correctly.
- Physics: updated engine power correction so power unit outputs better match reality at high-altitude tracks such as Mexico City.
- Race servers: fixed a crash when switching from a Practice server to a Race server.
- UI: multiple fixes and tweaks, including spotting/practice session screen overlap, camera tool slider behavior, expand/collapse functionality, wind direction arrow, QuickChat saving, file dialogs with non-default locale characters, results/splits display issues, setup export dropdowns, heat race event rule alignment, steering lock slider resolution, official/unofficial session flagging, chat text cutoff, calibration flow, timezone/regional-format crash, and setup reset edge cases.
Cars
- GTP: hybrid code adjusted so every GTP and the Ferrari 499P have equivalent hybrid-assisted fuel economy.
- Control/dash fixes: several GTPs and prototypes had traction control labels, mappings, and dash displays corrected, including the Acura ARX-06, BMW M Hybrid V8, Cadillac V-Series.R, Ferrari 499P, and Porsche 963.
- Mercedes F1 cars: W12 and W13 deploy mode display was corrected; recharge mode can now be bound to Regen Gain. W13 engine braking was relocked to 12 positions.
- Setup/handling updates: Aston Martin Vantage GT3 EVO gained increased engine torque and updated iRacing setups; Ford Mustang GT4 had front rebound damping slightly reduced with updated setups; Lotus 79 setups were updated.
- Other fixes: Dallara IL-15 wheel damage thresholds and repair behavior were adjusted; Porsche Mission R black box, audio, and dash issues were fixed; additional fixes landed for Acura NSX GT3 EVO 22, Aston Martin Vantage GT4, Ford Mustang GT3, Renault Clio R.S. V, and Porsche 911 GT3 R.
- Paint kit: fixed cases where some paints/patterns produced painted tires, windshields, or windows.
Tracks
- Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez: added a temporary renderer.ini setting for white paint/shader issues, added scissor lift LODs, and fixed missing stadium textures on Medium/Low shader settings.
- Daytona: adjusted instanced powerlines.
- Nürburgring: updated several adverts.
- Oulton Park: added wraps to weaved tire bundles.
We should restart and retest any hosted sessions that transition from practice to race, update league setup/control guidance for affected cars, and verify Mexico City and GTP events with this patch applied.
