iRacing 2025 Season 4 Patch 1 update
Patch 1 for iRacing 2025 Season 4 focuses on UI and drive-screen fixes, hybrid-system and setup updates across multiple cars, and a small set of track rule and visual changes.
We’ve gone through iRacing’s 2025 Season 4 Patch 1 notes. This patch is mainly a cleanup pass on the Season 4 release, with simulation UI fixes, hybrid-system updates, several setup revisions, and a handful of track adjustments.
What changed
Simulation and UI
- Fixed several UI issues, including excessive decimal precision, spin-control feedback, first-time flag stutter, and an FOV calculator bug involving imperial/metric units.
- Added VR screen-space controls in Options.
- Session, Drive, Garage, and Options screens received multiple layout and readability fixes, including larger Virtual Mirror and Delta Bar sizes, better widget layering, and more UI scaling on the Drive screen.
- Broadcast mode now includes split mode/broadcast UI.
- Dirt Road collision and damage thresholds against the environment were raised, allowing more contact before incidents are triggered.
- Audio updates include hybrid-system mixing fixes, tuned hybrid motor audio, and an
app.inioption to show sound levels in dB. - Fanatec wheel auto-detection was improved.
Cars
- GTP hybrid cars had a fix for deployment cutting unexpectedly after a few laps, plus a correction to allowable halfshaft power based on atmospheric conditions.
- Many official iRacing setups were updated, including TCR, Audi 90 GTO, BMW M4 GT3, Dallara F3, multiple dirt cars, Ford GT GT2, Kia Optima, Mercedes W12/W13, Skip Barber, and Toyota GR86.
- Mercedes W12 and W13 received hybrid and battery display fixes; both also got more aggressive attack mode behavior with greater battery drawdown. The W12 gained higher possible turbo boost at high-altitude tracks, while the W13 also got engine-braking adjustments.
- Ford Mustang GT3 had a crash fixed for the
lemans_fixedsetup. - Ford Mustang GT4 pit limiter is now available in all gears, and its TC2 decrement bind was fixed.
- Other car-specific fixes include BMW M Hybrid V8 rev limiter consistency, Porsche 718 GT4 control remapping, Acura NSX GT3 rainlight damage behavior, and Audi R18 onboard sound improvements.
Tracks
- Mexico City received the most notable sporting change: the Turn 2 slowdown penalty was increased. It also got fence, texture, and oval restart-zone cone updates.
- Daytona Road Course moved the anti-cut pyramid curbs in the Le Mans chicane closer to the sawtooth curbs.
- Sonoma added missing UI images and made visual/physical touch-ups, including hairpin cone and wall changes for the IndyCar 2012–2018 layout.
- Oulton Park got visual updates and added flagstand numbers.
- Bristol, Chicago, Darlington, Dover, Homestead, Iowa, Kansas, Las Vegas, IRP, Martinsville, New Hampshire, Rockingham, and Talladega all had terrain seam patches.
- Watkins Glen fixed floating marshals.
For league ops, we should refresh fixed setups, brief drivers on revised hybrid behavior, and update any event notes for Mexico City, Daytona Road, and Mustang GT4 pit-limiter use.

[/*][*] Fixed an issue where the driver select dropdown would not update when new drivers entered the session. [/*][*] Fixed an issue with the radar not keeping a square aspect ratio. [/*] [/*][*] DRIVE SCREEN: [*] In the F1 box, moved the real-time clock from the header space to the bottom row, and added a Sim-time clock alongside it. [/*][*] The F2 and F3 boxes have been adjusted to no longer require a scrollbar. [/*][*] Fixed an issue with the positioning of black box controls after moving them and then transitioning to another screen, or closing the Sim. [/*][*] Larger size options have been added for Virtual Mirror and the Delta Bar. [/*][*] Fixed an issue where all black boxes would grow larger when a car had a large car-specific black box. [/*][*] Fixed an issue with some elements clipping with a narrower top bar and the focus driver element. [/*][*] The tire change feedback icon is now hidden when not in a Race Session. [/*][*] UI layer settings for a few widgets have been adjusted to ensure layering priority for: Pit Speed, Pit Info, Pacing, Flags, and Penalties. [/*][*] To help make the drive screen UI and text larger and more readable, we adjusted the Drive Screen to allow UI scaling past where the Session Screen will stop applying it.
