- Two of the silhouettes look to be a matched set, and one that should have drifting fans very excited indeed: the Toyota Chaser Tourer V and its sibling, the Mark II Tourer V.
- Both belong to Toyota’s X100-generation of four-door models sharing a platform and mechanical package but wearing distinct bodywork. The X100 Chaser and Mark II both launched in September 1996, though the X100 Mark II was replaced in 2000 while Chaser production continued into 2001.
- Toyota Mark II Tourer V
- In Tourer V trim, both use the single-turbo, VVT-i 2.5-liter 1JZ-GTE straight-six, officially rated at the Japanese industry’s 280PS limit (equivalent to 276hp), driving the rear wheels through either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic.
