iRacing’s 2026 Season 2 Patch 2 is a follow-up fix patch with simulator-wide updates plus a set of car and track corrections, according to the official release notes.

What changed

Simulator and session systems

  • AI qualifying was fixed so AI drivers no longer fail to post times if the event is advanced too quickly.
  • AI Solo race result estimation was corrected when the player quits between green and checkered, fixing undercounted AI laps.
  • AI opening laps were improved for changing tire and surface temperatures, and AI racing at The Milwaukee Mile was improved.
  • BoP engine power adjustment can now be set from 90% to 110% instead of only below 100%.
  • BoP vehicle weight adjustment can now be set from -50 kg to +250 kg instead of only adding weight.
  • These BoP values can appear in Official Series and Sessions; hosted sessions now support engine power selection in that range, while hosted weight selection in that full range is noted as coming shortly.
  • In test sessions, both engine power and vehicle weight adjustments can now be selected in the Garage.

UI and graphics

  • The Throttle/Brake widget now supports up to 30 seconds of graph playback.
  • A new horizontal-lines graph option was added for the Throttle/Brake widget.
  • A HUD-profile crash tied to setting a global default without an existing app.ini key was fixed.
  • Rain visibility in mirrors was fixed, and a smoke particle Z-sorting issue was corrected.

Cars

  • NASCAR O’Reilly Series: improved windshield reflections.
  • Street Stocks and Dirt Street Stock: increased roof durability.
  • TCR cars: removed incorrect power scaling at Nürburgring Nordschleife configs.
  • Audi 90 GTO and Nissan GTP ZXT: bodywork-only damage no longer triggers a Meatball Flag.
  • Audi 90 GTO, BMW M4 G82 GT4, and Super Late Model received damage-model stiffness/durability adjustments.
  • Honda Civic Type R TCR driver hand animation was fixed.
  • NASCAR Truck Ford F150 cockpit switch labels were corrected.
  • Supercars Ford Mustang Gen 3 tail lights now display properly in rain.

Tracks

  • Mount Panorama: fixed a disappearing pit-road garage issue at some render settings.

  • 2026 Season 2 Patch 2 Release Notes [2026.04.06.02] Patch Release: This release is a Patch, focusing on additional updates, improvements, and fixes for the 2026 Season 2 Release. iRacing Launcher —--------------------------------------------------------- Paint Kit The Fanatec sponsor logos have been updated. Simulator —--------------------------------------------------------- AI Racing Fixed an issue where AI Drivers could fail to post Qualifying times if the player advanced the event too quickly. The AI Drivers now operate at simulated lightning speed, and will post Qualifying times. In AI Solo events, when the player quits the race between the green and checkered flags, the AI race results are estimated. An error in lap counting resulted in an underestimation of the laps completed by the AI. The error had no impact if the player quit during the first lap, but the effect was exaggerated the later into the event the player quit in the race. This error is fixed. AI Drivers have improved their opening lap times - they are better able to handle the tire and surface temperature changes throughout the course of their first laps. AI Drivers have improved their racing skills at The Milwaukee Mile. Physics The Engine Power Adjustment for Balance of Performance (BoP) setting may now be set to values greater than 100%, increasing the car's engine power. Previously, only values less than 100% were allowed. Allowable Engine Power Adjustment range is now between 90% and 110% of the original vehicle engine power. For Official Series and Sessions, the engine power percentage may also be adjusted within the same values, and the value should appear in the BoP for the event. Hosted Sessions can now also select an engine power percentage from 90% to 110%. During a test Session, the Engine Power Adjustment may be selected in the Garage. The Vehicle Weight Adjustment for Balance of Performance (BoP) setting may now be set to negative values, decreasing the vehicle’s mass. Previously, weight was only able to be added to vehicles. Allowable Vehicle Weight Adjustment range is now between -50Kg and +250Kg of the original vehicle weight. For Official Series and Sessions, the vehicle weight adjustment may also be adjusted within the same values, and the value should appear in the BoP for the event. The ability to select vehicle weight adjustments between -50Kg and +250Kg while creating Hosted Sessions will be added shortly. During a test Session, the Vehicle Weight Adjustment may be selected in the Garage. User Interface For the Throttle/Brake UI Widget, a new Graph Length option has been added which now supports up to 30 seconds of playback time. For the Throttle/Brake UI Widget, a new "Graph Horizontal Lines" option has been added to help better read telemetry values. When toggled on, it replaces the moving vertical lines. Fixed a crash-to-desktop issue that could occur when users were trying to set a HUD Profile as the global default, but that key did not exist in the “app.ini” file yet. Graphics Fixed an issue with vampiric rain (it was not appearing in mirrors). Fixed an issue where full resolution "Low Res" particle smoke effects were not Z-sorting correctly. Cars —--------------------------------------------------------- <Car Class> NASCAR O’Reilly Series Windshield reflections have been improved. <Car Class> Street Stocks For the damage model, roof durability has been increased. No comment on why this was needed other than a reminder to keep the wheels on the ground, folks. <Car Class> TCR Cars (Touring Cars) Removed some incorrect power scaling that was being applied when racing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife track configs. Audi 90 GTO A Meatball Flag can no longer be earned based only on bodywork damage. For the damage model, durability and stiffness of the hood and nose area have been improved. BMW M4 G82 GT4 For the damage model, the rear hull has been stiffened slightly. Dirt Street Stock For the damage model, roof durability has been increased. Honda Civic Type R TCR Fixed a driver animation issue where a female driver's hands were not rotating with the paddle shifters correctly. NASCAR Truck Ford F150 Some cockpit switch labels have been corrected. Nissan GTP ZXT A Meatball Flag can no longer be earned based only on bodywork damage. Super Late Model For the damage model, the yield and break limits for the nose have been increased. Supercars Ford Mustang Gen 3 Tail lights should show properly in rain, not just at night. Tracks —--------------------------------------------------------- Mount Panorama Circuit Fixed an issue where the garage on pit road could disappear at certain rendering settings. Nürburgring Some additional purple hues on some track surfaces have been removed. Sebring International Raceway Increased the draw distance for some environmental objects, including flags and bridges, to prevent them from popping into view. Some texture details have been updated. St. Petersburg Grand Prix Some advertisements and banners have been updated. Fixed an issue where some objects were not using the correct specular texture maps.
