EA Sports WRC update 1.9.0 adds PC anticheat and Club event fixes
Version 1.9.0 arrives July 18 at 10:00 UTC with EA anticheat on PC, esports WRC prep work, UI and Moments updates, a multiplayer crash fix, VR Beta bug fixes, and Club/custom livery corrections.
We’ve reviewed the official 1.9.0 patch notes for EA Sports WRC. This patch goes live July 18 at 10:00 UTC and focuses on anticheat, stability, UI updates, and several event-specific fixes.
What changed
Features
- Added a UI indicator to show when a device binding has been edited by the player.
- Adjusted Moments sorting so new and in-progress events appear at the front of the list.
- Corrected localisation errors in "A Moment to Remember" titles and descriptions.
Fixes
- Added EA anticheat on PC.
- Performed additional preparatory work on esports WRC.
- Addressed several minor bugs and issues with VR Beta.
- Fixed a Quick Play Multiplayer crash that could occur while navigating screens as other players joined the lobby.
- Fixed an issue where co-driver calls could be heard during transition screens after a stage finish.
Cars, clubs, locations, and performance
- Fixed an issue where Test Drive could become unavailable after using filters in the Vehicle Vendor.
- Improved AI teammate performance in Regularity Rally events.
- Fixed an issue where a customised car could revert to its default livery when resuming an in-progress Club Event.
- Adjusted the appearance of raindrops on windshields in interior views.
- Fixed rock collision issues on Mediterraneo stages Asco, Ponte, Monte Cinto, and Serra Di Cuzzioli.
- Changed the vehicle for Long Haul to the Hyundai i20 N Rally2.
We should notify PC members about the anticheat rollout, verify Club liveries and affected stage/event settings, and ask drivers to confirm their bindings before official sessions.
