RENNSPORT 1.1.7 patch updates AI, contests, and crash fixes

Patch 1.1.7 adds Praga R1 tire/setup changes, fixes several pit-crew and AI issues, updates spectator/replay tools, enables contest rejoins before race sessions, and temporarily disables the online safety car.

We’ve logged RENNSPORT’s 1.1.7 patch, which focuses on stability, AI behavior, online contest flow, and a small car update. The official notes are in the 1.1.7 patch post.

What changed

Cars

  • Praga R1 gets new tires and a tweaked setup.

Crashes

  • Fixed multiple game crashes related to the pit crew.

AI

  • Fixed a Porsche Mission R issue where AI would not go full throttle on banked sections.
  • Fixed edge cases where AI cars marked DNF or DNS could still set lap times after a session ended.
  • Fixed AI sometimes receiving a valid finishing lap time while still mid-lap when a stage ended.
  • Smoothed AI target points so they follow the racing line better when alone.
  • Adjusted AI behavior so they do not insistently return to the racing line during the first part of grid starts.

Championships

  • Fixed championship progress not updating if “Finish Round” was clicked and the reward screen was skipped too quickly.

Consoles / Controls

  • Fixed a disconnect pop-up when a sleeping gamepad was paired with a plugged-in wheel.
  • Updated default bindings to reduce accidental ignition activation.

MFD

  • Added forward and backward navigation.

Pit Stops

  • Fixed the Ford Mustang GT3 fuel cap being on the wrong side, which caused odd pit-crew snapping.

Settings

  • Fixed Anti-Aliasing settings not always saving.

Official Contests

  • Added a rejoin button for contests still in Practice or Qualification.
  • Rejoining during Qualification sends drivers to the pits to spectate, with normal race participation resuming once the Race stage starts.
  • Rejoining is not possible during the Race stage.

Spectator / Replay

  • Restored the Free Camera tilt button.
  • Added a “Live” button for live replays to jump to the latest replay point.
  • Fixed spectator visibility bindings for overlay management.

Safety Car

  • The safety car is temporarily disabled in online contests.

For league ops, we should update event comms around pre-race rejoins, remove any expectation of online safety car deployment for now, and revalidate AI sessions and Praga R1 balance/setup baselines.
