RENNSPORT 1.1.6 patch update

Patch 1.1.6 focuses on server stability, AI behavior, input SDK updates, and a broad set of fixes across tracks, UI, gameplay, settings, and replay tools.

We’ve logged the main changes in RENNSPORT 1.1.6 from the official patch notes. This patch centers on online stability, AI adjustments, hardware SDK updates, and a sweep of fixes affecting race flow, settings, and replay tools.

What changed

Features

  • Server performance was optimized, with the stated result of more stable online contests and fewer lag spikes and disconnects.
  • Fanatec SDKs were updated for PC and PS5.
  • Logitech SDKs were updated for PC and PS5.

Cars

  • AI drivers now use stability control for improved stability on track.
  • AI no longer adjust their driving line position for blue flags, to prevent moves toward the middle of the track and erratic sliding.
  • AI now keep more throttle uphill at Spa.
  • AI throttle limiting on grid starts was reduced to make them a bit faster.
  • AI were adjusted toward the inner boundaries of Turn 1 to reduce the gap and make early passes harder.
  • Rendering changes improved object cull distance on all tracks, reducing late pop-in.
  • A bug that briefly made cars invisible when exiting the pit lane on Founder’s Track was fixed.
  • Car selection no longer resets when leaving and re-entering a lobby.
  • A Championship issue that awarded zero points and prevented medals was fixed.
  • Founder’s Track collision issues that allowed cars outside track limits were fixed.
  • A Monza issue involving collision with a truck forcing cars off track was fixed.
  • In-car camera movement set to 0 should now stop camera movement correctly.
  • Projection correction now works when changed.
  • On PS5 and Xbox, more control inputs can now be rebound, and Quick Wheel/Pedal Setup is available.
  • HUD gear display for the BMW M Hybrid V8 and Porsche 963 LMDH in Time Trial was corrected.
  • In session settings, all options except damage were disabled.
  • A missing string table entry during Championship replay was fixed.

Tracks

  • Replay storage size was increased on PS5 and Xbox.
  • A post-race issue that allowed returning to track from spectator mode was fixed.
  • The missing free-camera tilt button in replays was restored.

We should rerun server checks before race night, verify any AI-assisted formats, and brief drivers on the console rebinding and replay-related changes.
