EA SPORTS WRC 2.2.0 update adds Le Maestros content and Clubs penalty fix

Version 2.2.0 for EA SPORTS WRC arrives from January 28, 2025, adding the Le Maestros Content Pack, extending Rally Pass progression, expanding selectable player nationalities, and fixing several issues including Clubs service-area penalties not applying to overall results.

We’ve got the key changes in EA SPORTS WRC 2.2.0, based on the official patch notes from Codemasters on Steam. The update is available from January 28, 2025 and adds the Le Maestros Content Pack alongside UI updates and bug fixes.

  • Added the Le Maestros Content Pack.
  • Updated the game’s splash screen artwork.
  • Added 80+ new player nationalities in Driver Details, bringing the total selectable nationalities to 170+.
  • Extended the Rally Pass level cap from 50 to 60.
  • Added 12 new stages to existing in-game locations, including new Monte Carlo routes:
    • Briançonnet-Entrevaux (14.3 km)
    • Entrevaux-Briançonnet (13.7 km)
    • Les Vénières (6.9 km)

Cars & content

  • Le Maestros adds new rally stages, Moments, liveries, historic vehicles, and a new car class.
  • Refreshed the livery select interface to show designs in greater detail and improve selection on cars with many liveries.
  • Updated the homespace/garage frontend presentation with Le Maestros-themed visuals.
  • Added 20 new livery editor decals as rewards.
  • Rebalanced XP earning rates and level requirements to fit the new Rally Pass cap.

Fixes

  • Porsche 911 SC RS: fixed incorrectly positioned driver names on side windows.
  • Toyota GR Yaris Rally2: fixed windscreen wiper behavior so affected raindrops are removed.
  • Championship Mode: fixed 2023 Hyundai crews appearing in 2024 season championships.
  • Clubs: fixed Service Area Time Penalties not being applied to Overall Results.
  • Graphics & Performance: corner-cutting exploit fixes also affect other stages that share the same road sections.

For our league ops, we should retest Club standings and penalty handling after this patch, especially in events where service-area penalties can decide final classification.

  • Le Maestros is a tribute to the iconic era of French success, from the late 1990s to the late 2010s. French competitors won the World Drivers’ Championship a stunning 15 times in a row, as two of the greatest rally drivers of all time rose to ascendancy.

  • We have refreshed the look and functionality of the livery selection screen when players choose a car to drive.

  • We have refreshed the garage homespace of the game’s frontend menus with a fresh coat of paint, with the walls showcasing some of the new Le Maestros cars added to the game.
  • In addition to this we have added 20 new livery editor decals as rewards, and rebalanced the XP earning rates and level requirements to account for the new level cap.
