Heat + Feature Scoring System

Heat + Feature scoring runs two separate points pools in the same event. Heat races award 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points for the top 8 finishers. The feature race then awards 25-20-16-13-11-10-9-8-7-6 points for the top 10. Both pools are summed to give each driver their total event score, so heat performance directly affects championship points.

When to Use Heat + Feature Scoring

Heat + Feature is the standard structure for short-track, dirt oval, and stadium-style leagues that run qualifying heats before a main feature race. It rewards consistency across the full event and makes heat races consequential rather than just grid-setting exercises.

How Racey Handles Heat + Feature Scoring

Racey's Heat + Feature preset is fully automated — heat results and feature results are ingested separately from iRacing and combined into a single event score. This preset is available on all plans. Pro subscribers can configure the number of heats, invert or customise either points scale, or add drop-event rules.
