UNITED STREET STOCK CHAMPIONSHIP (USSC)
CODE OF CONDUCT
Participation in the United Street Stock Championship is a privilege that comes with an expectation of professionalism, respect and good sportsmanship. This Code of Conduct applies to drivers, officials, broadcasters and other league participants.
- RESPECT
All members must treat fellow competitors, league officials, broadcasters and community members with respect.
Disagreements are expected in competitive racing, but personal attacks, harassment, threats, discriminatory remarks, bullying or targeted abuse have no place in the USSC.
- PROFESSIONALISM
Drivers are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the championship.
Emotions can run high after an incident. Members are expected to remain reasonably composed and avoid turning racing disagreements into personal conflicts.
Criticism and disagreement are permitted. Personal abuse is not.
- SPORTSMANSHIP
Win with humility and lose with dignity.
Drivers should recognize good racing, respect their competitors and accept responsibility when they make mistakes.
Members should not intentionally provoke, antagonize or embarrass another competitor.
- INTEGRITY
Competition must be genuine.
Cheating, exploiting prohibited software or game mechanics, manipulating results, collusion, intentionally assisting another driver to alter championship results, or other conduct designed to compromise competitive integrity is prohibited.
Drivers must compete for their own best legitimate result.
- COMMUNICATION
League communication channels should remain constructive and relevant.
Disagreements should be handled respectfully and, when appropriate, privately with league officials rather than through prolonged public arguments.
Drivers are encouraged to bring legitimate concerns to USSC administration.
- OFFICIALS
Officials will sometimes make decisions that drivers disagree with.
Members may respectfully question or appeal a decision through the appropriate league process, but attacking, threatening or harassing an official because of a ruling is unacceptable.
Officials are also expected to act impartially, professionally and consistently.
- BROADCASTS & PUBLIC CONDUCT
Drivers should remember that USSC events may be broadcast, recorded, clipped or shared publicly.
Members are responsible for their behaviour during league events and should avoid conduct that unnecessarily damages the reputation of another competitor, the broadcast team or the championship.
Friendly rivalries and competitive personalities are encouraged. Genuine hostility and harassment are not.
- COMMUNITY
The goal of the USSC is to build a competitive racing community where drivers want to return each week.
Experienced drivers are encouraged to welcome newer competitors, answer reasonable questions and contribute positively to the league.
Competition should strengthen the championship—not make other members dread participating in it.
- GOOD-FAITH PARTICIPATION
Members are expected to participate honestly and in good faith.
Attempts to deliberately exploit technicalities, manipulate league procedures, make knowingly false accusations, or abuse reporting and disciplinary processes may themselves be considered misconduct.
- ACCOUNTABILITY
Everyone makes mistakes. How a member responds to them matters.
Taking responsibility, apologizing when appropriate and changing problematic behaviour will be considered when league administration addresses conduct concerns.
Repeated behaviour may result in increasingly serious consequences.
- ZERO-TOLERANCE CONDUCT
Certain behaviour may warrant immediate action regardless of previous history, including credible threats, serious harassment, discriminatory abuse, deliberate cheating, targeted intimidation or conduct intended to seriously disrupt the championship.
- THE USSC STANDARD
The USSC is competitive by design. Drivers are encouraged to race hard, develop rivalries, celebrate victories and fight for every championship point.
At the end of the night, however, everyone should remember that there is another person behind every car.
Compete hard. Respect the field. Respect the officials. Respect the championship.
