Racey vs a Spreadsheet (Google Sheets)

Any simulator (all data entered manually)

Plenty of leagues start in Google Sheets — it's free and flexible. But every result is hand-entered, every standings formula is yours to maintain, and there is no registration, no driver notifications, no Discord posting and no overlays. Racey automates all of that and gives your league a real website — and it imports your existing spreadsheet so you don't lose your history.

Where Racey is different

  • Results import (CSV, including iRacing result files) instead of hand-typing every finish.
  • Standings recompute automatically; drivers are notified; results post to Discord and overlays update.
  • A real league website with rosters, schedule and standings — not a shared sheet.
  • Guided CSV import of your existing spreadsheet so you keep your history.

Where Google Sheets may be the better choice

  • Free and infinitely flexible.
  • Zero learning curve for a tiny, one-off series.
  • No vendor lock-in.
